Mission Of Compassion: Single Flight Repatriation Of Two Patients from India to Maldives

Upon special request from Maldivian government authorities, Bluedot Air Ambulance was honoured to provide critical assistance to our neighbouring country.

We successfully completed a medical repatriation from India to Maldives, transporting two terminally ill cancer patients, both dependent on ventilators and requiring intensive medication support, in a special chartered flight.

Mobilized from the same hospital, the flight was equipped with 2 ventilators, 4 syringe pumps, a suction machine, two 5-parameter cardiac monitors, AED, airway and circulation kits, emergency drugs, Ambu bags, and a Bain circuit to meet their complex medical needs.

Our expert medical crew—comprising a critical flight physician and two critical care flight nurses—ensured both patients received the highest level of care and comfort throughout the journey.  Bluedot Air Ambulance completed the mission with precision and care, demonstrating the power of international cooperation and compassion.

Bluedot began operations to and from the Maldives, the Island Nation in the Arabian Sea, globally famous as a tourist retreat, in September 2024, in collaboration with Travel2Maldives. The capital, Male, is more than 700 km by air from the Southern Indian city of Kochi.
